Fairy Tale Theatre Ages 5 - 7
This imaginative class encourages children to explore the basis
of storytelling, including conflict, character and setting. Popular fairy
tales will provide the inspiration for this movement and ensemble building
class.
Class will culminate in a performance for families.

Pirates and Mermaids Ages 5 - 7
If your child loves to explore life above and below the high
seas, he/she will love our swash-buckling Pirates and Mermaids class.
Children will develop their own pirate or mermaid characters, solve treasure
hunts and crack secret codes. Our inspiration will be Melinda Long's award
winning book "How I became a Pirate" and Disney's "The Little Mermaid".
Class will culminate in a performance for families. |

Puppetry Ages 8 - 11
Who doesn't love a puppet show? In this creative class students
will create their own puppets and work together to create a story to share
with younger children. This class will explore story development, ensemble
building, diction and vocal development for beginning actors.
Class will culminate in a performance for families. |

One Act Mini-Musical Ages 12 - 16
Geared toward the more advanced theatre student, students in this
class will work together to create, rehearse and perform a one act musical.
Musical selections will come from a variety of well known musicals,
including "Wicked", "Honk", Disney's "the Hunchback of Notre Dame" and"Beauty and the Beast" and will center on the theme of "Being Proud to Be
Me".
Class will culminate in a performance for families. |

Got Character? Ages 12 - 16
"Through improvisation, script and scene analysis, vocal techniques
and movement, students will learn some basic methods for developing a
character for the stage. Any student who wants to have a role on stage
someday will benefit from this class.
The class will conclude with each student performing a monologue." |

| Musical Theatre Day Camp
Boys and Girls Ages 8 – 16 (any exceptions to the age requirements will be made on an individual basis). This is a five-day camp for the “ star” in your family.
The class will meet July 19 – 23, 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. Centered on the theme “Living Your Dream”, selections will include songs from “Shrek, The Musical”, “The Prince of Egypt” and many more. Campers will receive daily instruction in voice, dance, and theatre. The week will culminate in an evening performance for families and friends at DeWitt Auditorium, Zeeland East High School Campers are expected to attend the entire day for the entire week. Minimum class size of 21 and maximum of 30. Campers will brown bag their lunches. Lunches and snacks must be nut-free. $225 fee includes tuition, T-shirt, and supplies.
